I am using my drz more and my sprint less and less on our norcal mountain roads. Anyone recommend a lighting upgrade? The stocker is barely usable on the twisty roads at night.

Those lights are NHS on their own. They'd make a nice set of spots to go with the original headlight though.

Buy a manual CCT or one from a 2003 and up.

Suspension was upgraded in 2002 as mentioned.

There are also torque value changes but other than that it's been the "Bold New Graphics"

Make sure you go on Thumpertalk to learn all of the tricks on a DRZ. Main thing is to check that front sprocket nut. These must be installed with red loctite or they come loose. Then the oil seal behind them will weep.

Do yourself a favor and get an HID headlight,cheapest and best solution.

You WILL have to adjust your headlight down a bit and split the rubber gasket to seal the bulb against the housing again to keep the water out but it's eazy peezy.

The high beam gives you a bright wide beam that is easily 3x brighter than stock and he low beam is deeper in throw and really picks up road irregularities without blinding oncoming drivers.

Does anyone know if the Motion Pro Fork Tube Micro Bleeder for expelling air pressure will fit on the DRZS forks. It's not listed. Maybe you know one that does?

I have an 08 DRZ400S and I am having an issue with removing/installing the stock tank. The stock tank has a non vacuum petcock, there is a corbin seat, and I upgraded the carb to a FCR39MX. It is just about (if not) impossible to remove the tank and then reinstall it without removing the petcock first. The fit is just too tight. Have any of you guys had this experience? We've got a high here in Az of maybe 47 degrees today. What was the temp? Also, do you want us to take up a collection for a bucket, sponge and soap to get your bike washed? JK

There are a couple of common thread pitches for bleeders. I think I know the size, but I am not absolutely certain. The easiest is to remove one of the screws and measure across several threads with a metric steel rule.
I didn't even do that when ordering. I've got Zeta bleeders ordered from Wheeling. I told them exactly which fork and they sent me the right part.

I am going for a ride tomorrow to Winckenburg Via BuckHorn wash rd da highest in Winken. will be 43 deg.
