It's the second must-do improvement on the Pegaso, right after the voltage regulator.
Pegasos have very "light" rear suspension and they easily bottom-out.
Ease of remote pre-load adjustment is just lovely.

Have any of you found a way to increase the output of the charging system on your Peg? I've got a 2000, I want to run heated clothing and extra lighting but the stock alternator doesn't seem to be capable.
Let me know your experience please.

I was tackling the same subject..... found one source with 300W,
GS Dakar with 400W but wasn't sure of the fitment and it was over $350
Sooo...... I switched to LED's saving 70-80W,
thus having about 100W for accessories.

I've replaced all the bulbs but headlights and low-fuel bulb to LED.
I figured it's less expensive and easier this way, also saving those super thin-a$& wires.
Just an idea.

I sold my pristine Pegaso Cube a few months ago but I still think about it.

I have a BMW G650XCo but that Pegaso was the damndest single I've ever ridden. Twin carbs and twin exhaust. It would flat get up and run and was so smooth, you'd not know it was a single.

Is the carbed version better then the IE on the old Pegaso?

They're very cheap to buy.

I'm not a big fan of leaking anything on a bike.

There was a Cube with Leovince pipes and a rejet available locally,
very cheap, the sound was amazing too.. but over 20k miles on
the ODO.

Hi,
Noticed your from Oz. I'm in Melbourne and have just sold my 250 Yamaha looking to get a 650….what yet I don't know. I have seen for sale a 2010 Pegaso. Looks like a decent bike. What's your opinion?
My only issue I can see is I'm 6'5' and so the low seat is not ideal. But they get a good write up.
Mostly looking to start my Adventure biking experience so want to mostly concentrate on weekend trips camping etc.

A couple of people on here were working on high mount front fenders. Any updates on this mod? I dug back through the pages and found some photos and a few comments, but sounded like a work in progress.

Mounting of the high fender is the easy part. The challenge is how to mount fork guards while securing the brake line and speedo cables to prevent them from getting caught in the semi-knobby tires that you invariably what to install in conjunction. This is rather difficult on Pegasos with the 40mm inverted Marzocchi fork. Pegs with the conventional fork (like Louie Dogg's) should be much easier since the lower fork tube offers mounting provisions for the stock fender. Also, you would likely want to fashion some sort of radiator guard as the now-unobtainable radiator is left rather exposed.

I started a high-mount fender project myself and got the fender installed but still have the hard part left. I think some fork guard mounting brackets will need to be machined and fork guards trimmed & modified. I put this on the backburned for now as an exhaust project jumped ahead in queue. When I do finish, I'll post the details on the AF1 Pegaso Forum and a quick post here. A preview (fork Guards are not attached)
