I'm always happy to bring somebody on a F650 or KLR friendly ride. Argentine pass to Redcone comes to mind.

Well it would be Argentine, Webster, Redcone, Radical Hill, down the north fork of swan creek, up Bross and reverse except Redcone.

This would be a good starter.

Can we throw in the out and back to Santa Fe Peak too? Should be doable on all F650's, que no?

Sure why not. I checked it out and it doesn't sound as bad, I mean as fun as the other stuff I mentioned.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

I'm looking at the sq footage of the man cave, you can comfortably fit about 3 more. Think I'm crazy right, give it time.

BTW, welcome

Awhile back I was over at his house helping him install a transmission in his Eurovan and he showed me his wife's "new" bike, a Capt America F650 Dakar. The minute I saw it I was blown away, totally enthralled. I threw a leg over it and thought, "Hmmm, I'd like to own one of these!"

After a shortish search and some posts here I met up with fixn2go today and bought his F650 Dakar. The bike is in immaculate shape and he sent me home with all the service records, two seats, plus a spare air and oil filter. It was a pleasure meeting you Dave and I promise to take good care of it!

Good thing I helped Cole with his Eurovan as that's what we loaded the bike up in to bring it home in the snow.

I'm a total noob as far as riding goes, well at least things that aren't pedal powered. Next up for me is to register for the motorcycle safety class and get some gear (jacket, pants, boots and gloves).

First pic is in fixn2go's driveway, second pic is in my garage.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Just a suggestion. Riding down around Canon City and Pueblo can be real nice in the winter. You can get some very good practice at places like Penrose Commons. Just maybe stay out of the canyons until you are pretty good, some of them can be real chalangeing.

Yup, been a BMWCCA member for around 15 years now.

Thanks again Cole for coming with me and hauling my bike back. It fit nicely in your van, as your pic shows!

I'm absolutely up for some riding once the weather clears up. Just realize that I'm a total noob and will be quite slow...
