Iceland 2013
Hey Folks,
Question for ya---several of us are considering a 6 to 7 day ride of Iceland, but are challenged a bit with finding a motorcycle tour/rental company that will respond. Maybe these companies are seasonal---I don't know. However, we are looking at either a guided tour or a basic motorcycle rental company that we can trust. Does anyone have any suggestions for us?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one; I tried contacting Biking Viking about a month ago without any reply...

Blue,
Yes, that was one of the companies that I contacted and didn't get any response. I have messages into two others...if I get a response I'll post it here for you. Regards, John

Edelweiss
I did a tour with Edelweiss this summer. My guide told me that they can do custom trips just about anywhere. Probably not cheap, but first rate.

Thanks John. I did one as well with Edelweiss (the Pyrenees in September) and will ask my contact there. Good call.

I'm running into the same problem--I can't seem to get anyone from the adverstising Iceland Motorcycle Tour/Rental companies.
My Group is in Germany though and we may just ship are bikes over--anyone have any experience with shipping your bike(s)? My fear is that my bike will show up in a box of broken pieces on the other end... JQ

Motoxplorers does tour of Iceland every year. They are based out of Lisbon, good people to deal with. I have wanted to do this. I think it would be easy to set something up with them. I have used thier bikes in Portugal. Neduro does a big bike trainling class for them in the spring. When discussing this with them, they wanted to put together a tour for U.S. riders. What is your time frame? I would love to do it, but always hard for me to plan accurate days off from my job.
