Kandanga State Forest.. translation.. huge hills, leg cramps, stomach cramps, loads of dust.. and more hills.. wish I was back there today..

19 riders in total..

JohnnyZ as sweep (who had a workout before we even started).. the first hill within 5 min from leaving the cars..







Standard track terrain..





Was given a very early tip from a fellow 300 rider.. ' hit the hills faster than what you think you need '..

Great photo"s again pete you might have a new job takin bike photo"s yep was dusty but sh$t it was a great ride definately going back (maybe not sweeping straight up though ) those first two hills killed me ! till the next one

Yep.. I must admit, I kinda felt sorry for you..hauling that bike up so early in the piece..good job though

Wow some great action shots there!
Had a quick ride with a few new mates about 2 weeks back in the middle of the glass house, Reminded me how hard it is to throw around a DRZ in the tighter stuff. There just isn't anyway to compete with the lighter 2 strokes

That, and they can all ride! Ohh well practice makes perfect

Kenilworth strikes again..

This is what 2 cracked ribs looks like.. and it was only 15 min into the ride...



Jimmy was as white as a 'Ghost '... and now very happy with a dose of 'Endone"..



Heavy over night rain and Kenilworth dont really mix.. an easy hill (technically speaking) that was impossible to get up





Time for some bike swapping.. Mat H on the Berg.

Quick Glasshouse run Sat morning along the usual routes...fairly busy with other bikes.



This is new.. friendly signs welcoming motorbikes.. could have at least used KTM's .. main brand running around..



Dust ruled on particular tracks which literally stopped me in my tracks.. not keen on riding blind..



Jonny Z who I'm sure struggled to see with all of that additional dust, cloud cover and rain...



The usual chit chat along the way..

I'm really liking this 13 tooth.. instant reaction in the band.

Hey pete great photo"s again yea was dusty but that"s bike riding heaps of bikes out there everyone had the same idea i guess quick ride then home To the guy on the yz ??? on the road to peachester on main roads SLOW DOWN you were going like a lunatic:was a head on last weekend lost a great young talent don"t need any more " plus in front of other people it makes all us dirtbike riders look like knobs "save the fast riding for the right tracks not main transport sections (my rant for the day) You remember the guy pete !!!! anyway thanks for the great ride till next one !!!

The increasing tempts caused numerous destination changes hence we ended up at GHouse - 6am on the bikes.

Unusual sight.. a new riding buddy..





Just following our noses.. a new explore.



and getting a tad quicker...



Love any sort of sand riding..





Numerous tracks around the base of this mountain..



Matt H.. time goes on and so does the heat.. we both went through a litre water / hr..



Alot of roots / knobs are starting to appear.. look out when its wet..



Down to some serious business... 2013 exc 500 v 2012 te 300.. and guess which bike was off the mark the quickest..







well.. I was in front for the first 100m or so...



105 km later and two very dusty bikes...

Extreme weather hasn't helped the riding situation.. Overdue rides call for lots of photos..

14 riders in total..



Wild storms left a few of the normal single tracks difficult to get the 'flow' going..







and being taller than most makes it that tad more difficult





and coming across the odd mud hole...

When its hot, humid and rain approaching..



and by the way.. our sweep for the day.. Johnny Z ... still recovering from being sweep at Kandanga

At one point, most riders had to ditch the goggles.. torrential rain / high humidity



Regroup for the next leg..

As per normal.. with rain comes crashes.. even for the best of them

Pete those photo"s are great definatly getting a hang of that contour now mate sure was a great day"s ride even with that rain few close calls for a few but all ended the day with no injuries .WHEN"S THE NEXT ONE YEAAAA HAAAAAP.S. I think you"d go faster if you had a hat like mine as well ...HA
