HRC's overriding philosophy is to learn it's own lessons. Their engineers don't like to adopt other designs, and they trust nobody else's development. This is true across their range. It's why they often use a lot more time developing things while others stand around going "why?!".
They will do their own thing and test it, test it, re-do it, test it until the cows come home, and they will only settle on the same thing everyone else does once they've exhausted all options.
It's a cool philosophy, but it's impractical and inefficient.

And for a fact that is 100% what has been going on since June - but maybe, just maybe they will hit on something better than everyone else does - that's R&D

Gravity feed to the pump, eliminating the theory that inter-tank transfer was the culprit. I actually like that placement.

To me, HRC seems to get all wrapped around their process, rather than their rider. Competition at a high level takes place only somewhat on the drafting table, a great part of it is also the confidence the rider feels in the machine and in the team. They seem to neglect that sometimes.

I'm glad Helder got the ride and presumably the resulting paycheck, but I liked the story better when he was the pesky near privateer needling the side of the KTM factory juggernaut.

I also fear next year IF the rumors are true and Cyril joins the hrc squad. Would hate to see Helder have to play second string after he suffers threw the development phase.
