Despres is 10min in front of Challeco and he took another 2 minutes from him on this stage. He'll soon engage his break-their-spirit-cruise-control.
I'm talking about stage results, is all.

Dakar Km 64

The Portuguese Husqvarna rider only trails the provisional stage leader by 8 second. Behind them, Juan Pedrero Garcia is in fifth place between Barreda and Jakes, 54" behind Despres. 1'04" behind the Frenchman, Gérard Farres Guell in turn currently leads Alessandro Botturi and Ruben Faria

If you've enjoyed Lyndon's call ins and interviews on this edition, consider chipping in a few $$, € €, or ££ toward the cause. Many hands make light work, and based on our experience with Ned last year, the tab will run handily into 4-digit territory (sans decimals). It would be wonderful if we could take this burden off of Lyndon's shoulders.

To be clear, Lyndon has not asked for this, and there is no expectation on my part or his that any part of the phone bills be defrayed (indeed, I suspect that he will not know that I've solicited donations until after the event is over). For those so inclined,

RallyRAIDio @ g mail . com is the RallyRAIDio email addy to which funds can be sent.

Thanks for your support.
Done

Huge thanks to PackMule and Pyn for making these call ins happen !!

Naw, reported a valid observation. As you pointed out, more than one reason to yank the motor besides swapping out.

Was thinking about that first motor of CDs.

If I were the team boss, I'd really want that thing back on the rest day.

Tear it down to see what failed, in case he has to warn his riders about a likely weak spot.

Anyone know if they gave Marek a fresh one?

I really don't mind the information, I love it too - the speed which information can travel at today is amazing! =) If my message came across as laying blame on someone that was not my intention. Just wanted to recount what we had observed during the day/evening/night. =)
