Good guy is an understatement. Kurt is the most unpretentious, humble kid you'll meet. It would be great to see him return and have someone without an overblown ego running with the lead pack for years to come.

Not usual overflowing smile, but still more cheery than Cyril with the media on a good day.

Gonçalves overtook Jakes and he is now ridding with Hélder, but lost some time (+ 3'12'')

Henk Helligers ran the HT Rally Raid team ( check out their web site - http://www.ht-honda-rally-raid.com/?...me&language=en and I assume he still does? - they were the previous Honda entry, but like Juan Carlos, the riders, their sponsors/local teams, bought their ride I expect. The HRC team is managed by Henk and his support as are all the logistics and racing and testing in Europe . JC is I assume still his own man with his Honda USA affiliations and JCR Racing and Javier and Philipe are Honda South America - as with global corporations it would not be a surprise to see the regions contributing to the total development budget over the programme, logistics and racing, with the regions carrying their own rider costs? Seriously a lot of speculation here, but without a doubt complicated from the finances side

Pyn motoring at wp8/CP2.
![]() Manuel is moving along, too. Another horrible stage for Jordi Viladoms, now shown 1h8 down at WP5. All kudos for a man used to running at the front end of the field. He's shown the Dakar Spirit in spades this year.
