One of the discussions thatb were had regarding, Hey we can ride faster than those guys!!!

Of courss ,one in the picture is a multi Australian enduro title holder and ex ISDE rider, and still rides like a demon, so we believe him!!

I'm interested but not too much single track stuff!

Dunno whether 'Kenny' qualifies as 'vinduro', but fuck it Dave - it's what I got!!

How fussy are the people running these sort of events, are they purists? or don't worry if you turn up on a tricked out 'roadie' conversion???

Wouldn't care what it was as long as it fit into the class of it's year with no later model parts. So if it's pre 75 for exampleit has to be period correct for that era.

So if it's a '75 frame with '74 motor, it would be classified as a '75?

what about a newer motor / older frame ????, what ever is the newest or the frame because of the compliance plate????????

On our way to a VMX round at Canowindra last year, we stopped in Queanbeyan for a feed and this was parked in the street! I would rate it as one of the best restos I have ever seen, had to see to believe! Talked to the owner , he was rather blase, but proud as well, as entitled!

In a possibly futile effort to enhance my current pitiful fitness level, I went to a local private MX track to cut a few laps

Since the VMX PE looks like this at the moment

ol mate came thru with this weapon for me!

Of course Team STAG co member kicked my arse all day on his KDX200!

Went OK actually, only real issue was severe hand pump
So yeah, looking forward to Broadford next month!

This one is 90% restored but needs an air box . Lay down shocks are non- standard on the 74 model.

It is in running order.

Does anyone know a Montesa collector?

They are in the Adelaide Hills right now, but a trip to Harrow is easy enough. There was a bloke at Harrow who was a Montesa collector from Ballarat but I neglected to record his details. At the time the current owner was still full of enthusiasm and he has nearly completed the MX-er, but he is working in the mines now and does not have the time/energy to complete the projects. It would be a shame to have them rot in the back of his shed and deprive the VMX/Vinduro of the resource.
