About 150 miles for me, enjoyed every soggy minute of it, it was nice to be back on a saddle after a long 4 weeks, also a bit of nostalgia once again riding the Hawk

only group photo of the day

this was for the Tag game on another forum

Tough day to see any views.. but a nice warmish day to get out on the road.

Seeing the newly cleared beach from Sandy was surreal. There was nothing but small stones and sand where many structures once were. Hell, part of the road was still filled in and unpaved. A good place to let the back tire get a little loose.

Thanks for the ride. Rob, you're right, the damage was shocking. Best part of the day was watching the ol' Hawk being dual sported.

sorry for the delay in posting!

2013 First BBDoR Ride -- the Renaissance City (Providence)
I still have no idea why jgormley wanted to do this ride, but I pulled together a half-assed tour of the Capital City. I really hate leading, and I really hate riding in town. So that made for a super-fun day (which it actually was because of the great people)!

Meet-up spot at Seven Stars Bakery, Hope Street
The lady standing in the background was just a grump-a-saurus. She had the cutest son who was digging around the in the dirty snow and running between our group as we talked...and she just stood there, sneering. There's a reason I don't live on the East Side anymore, and this lady personifies it.

Turtledub (TW200), Twilight Error (BMW 1150GS), jgormley (WR250R) and me on the Honda Elite 250

cheesebot's R75/5 and Festival Ballet in the background

Leaving Swan Point Cemetery off of Blackstone Blvd

Frances Street at the mall (Providence Place) and a fair bit of my glove

Always alert to traffic...eyes don't wander

South Water Street on our way to the Hurricane Barrier
Note the large steeple in the background, the First Baptist Church in America

My dad would be proud, bringing everyone to the industrial underbelly of the city -- this is Terminal Road where the Narragansett Bay Commission's wind turbines are located

Pee break at Thistle House -- that's Tiberius running towards me

Cranston Street Armory (from Dexter St)

Late lunchbreak at Trinity Brewhouse
Turtledub wanted to break off so I led him back to Seven Stars because, seriously, if you don't get lost in Providence, you're not human

Lunch!
jgormleyl, cheeseobt, Twilight Error

Back at the house for some Dakar watching
MATPOC, cheesebot, Twilight Error, tkeskin

MATPOC and son
... a bundle of energy!

Twilight Error heading back to CT ... brrrr

Goofing around

Dutch chilling out as the evening wound down

The best part? No one dropped!

Tomorrow is looking ugly for us moto commuters, but Saturday could be up near 50 again. Anyone up for a ride?

Heading to NYC for IMS on Sat. DC show was pretty good, but no KTM or factory Ducati displays. They will be there in NYC.

I will be heading to NYC Saturday as well, in the past we took my minivan, but most likely driving the Accord this time, I got one confirmed passenger.

cheese and I are driving the Fit down on Friday, leaving PVD early evening. We're happy to take a couple of folks but you'll need a place to stay. We'll probably toss you out on the Throg's Neck.

Going to the show as early as I can muster on Saturday. Hoping for some German food in the afternoon. Mmmmm.

I meet up with some friends and drive to new havens union station. Then take Metro North to Grand Central. Usually a 6am train. Get there about an hour early. Go right to Javitz and downstairs there is a great breakfast joint. Made to order omelets and such. As of last nite DLR2013 code still works for a discount. Hopefully see some of you FFs there.
