What kind of panniers fit on the subframe racks at your number plates? Or is that even what it's set up for?
What are the wire racks for on the very back of the bike?
Looks like you moved the oil cooler down and then lengthened the front fender to protect it. Interesting mod ...... how has this worked so far?

Hi Rob,
The stock muffler is positioned lower and shortened, so I can use the full size RT panniers.
It is my general purpose machine, I use it for commuting, for soft offroad trips and for traveling.
I hope the pictures will explain the answers.
The oil cooler is doing well.

As others have stated, Nice job DXAMET, I like the blacked out final drive- Never understood why BMWMotorrad didn't black out the entire drivetrain, or at least offer it as an option.

It is very nice! My question is whether you have fixed the instruments and headlight to the upper fork plate, so they rotate with the handlebars, or did you mount them on a strut coming from the upper frame, so they don't rotate? It looks to me like the components are hanging from handlebar mount plate on top the forks... no?

Now that my 1150GS is a teenager, I have been looking to freshen its look and tend to its parts. Your bike shows a tempting, though obviously challenging, route to take.

Indeed Andrew, everything is fixed to the upper fork plate.
I 've used a cockpit casing of a 1100gs so I could mount my own 1150 clocks, control lamps and RID.

Agreed..what a great picture.....reminds me of a typical race day when I was riding MX back in Ulster....usually always raining and muddy...great!!!

I hope the owner of the pic doesn't mind.....

Mine sucks because she's like a fat chick that thinks she's a runner.

She looks good with most of her clothes off though.
