Robby Gordon put the pedal to the metal to launch his Hummer into the special at 12.08 PM local time. Ronan Chabot and Lucio Alvarez will be in his rear-view mirror. 94 cars are still in the race.

Since we talking fuel issues here i got to think of #35 Berglund on a early stage did run out of fuel as his fuelmap was to running on the fat side and thee had not been any testing for dune riding. The put a new map in and the bike has little less power but no fuel issues. He is carrying 27L on the bike.

Yes, and yes again. Except this does not explain his past fuel issues. Add to that gallons vs Litres...or anything silly like that... and you have yourself the makings of a royal ....

If its not refuelling, it cant be electrical even though they said that.. (simply because they did not interview him, and that is very telling), I think (insert Japanses accent here:) It wars a problem with tha fuewal calculations!
