Loved it! And loved the vespa. Now that is a cool ride report.
You write very well!! In the future, see if you can open up a photobucket account and upload the pics to that, Then just copy the link sfrom the pics. It looks a bit better. Because id love to just take this ride report and put it on my website for prosperity! Good work!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'll make a point of writing some other stuff perhaps illustrate my home road US1. Kaneman didn't like Key West but there's good stuff!
I have pictures of my 1981 ride but I kind of think a 25 year old ride is yesterdays news? As for the tech suggestion I will talk to my wife (IT) and see what she says. Uploading pics one at a time is extraordinarily tedious. I thought I was doing something wrong... I was embarrassed to say anything.

Nice writing, Conchscooter. Your comments about changes down there remind me of some of the Carl Hiassen books I've read. Hard to find a patch of grass (sand, I guess, in your case) nowdays that hasn't been claimed or ravaged, and it's never more true than in FL. Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Awesome area for scootering. It would have been cool to see your bike parked next to some gators on the loop road.

I ended up selling the GTS owing to endless electrrical issues. 2007 was a bad year for Vespa lemons. I miss it, but I got the wife's permission to try out a P200E...which I should receive soon so perhaps the Loop Road and a Vespa are in my future.

Outstanding!
I've wanted a Vespa for a long time. My mother spends winters at her condo in Cocoa Beach. I go in March for baseball. Thanks for the report.

You just can't beat the loop road. I've never taken my bike down it but it would make for some awesome pics with all those critters that like to bask on it.

How times change
Big fall in the Sunshine State since 2007. Gone is the real estate frenzy and all the custom bikes bought with home equity loans. Between 07 and 10 my house fell a half mil, sold it and its still falling. Rode to KW every winter for 10 years and loved it. Always hit the hump on the seven mile at a hundred and hit every oyster bar from KL to KW. KW is the only town I've ever seen with permanent puke on the street. The side streets under a full moon can't be beat. The history of KW is amazing but most come to drink and don't care about Flagler's mishap, although a sundowner at the Casa Marina tiki bar will bring back the era. Just don't ask the barmaid, she just rolled in from Detroit. Now I ride the Rockies.
