...but he left quite a legacy and his memory will live on. Some of my favorites from him were when he did the 5 corners of Calif. and the show on the State of Jefferson. RIP Huell, it was trualy a sad day when you left us.

People don't know this about Huell Howser he was/always will be a US Marine. I even heard that he reached the rank of Gunnery Sgt. Semper Fi Devil dog. (Rip)

Love hisshows. I will pay closer attention to them now.. I happened across his show on Angel Island this week. We have been there twice but it seems I learned more in that 1/2 hr that I did in previous trips. R.I.P. HH

Although he sometimes made me roll my eyes with his absurdity and oddness, I did enjoy his very unique broadcasting style.

I never knew this about Huell, but he was big early on and gave it all up to come be one of us common folk.
