All the Aussies are through, looks like Rod and Grabbo both had issues at some point today, and Dakar says Warren got stuck for a few minutes, but all are home and nobody has lost ground in the overall standings.
Good result I reckon!

I know initially lots of people were talking a top 10 finish for Grabbo, and a few people seem to be making excuses for him (mostly in bike shops where they have less information than the F5irehose) but if he keeps moving like this he's pulling a top 20 finish in his first attempt at the freakin' DAKAR!
Take a second to think of what an accomplishment that is. Top 20, first time out, in a race that DNFs pretty much every rookie ever.
If he blows up tomorrow he's still done more than 1 in a million riders.
If he holds it together for 2 more stages, he's got a finishers medal he first shot.

That's something to be incredibly proud of.

And let's not forget all the other Aussies. Good positioning, solid work, in at least one case sacrificing a much higher position for the good of the team.

We say it quite often but this is the year that Australia really came to Dakar...

Not sure, but Rod F suffered badly from altitude sickness today and backed it off, maybe Grabo had the same thing.

96fm is/was a Safari sponsor, but I didn't here any report the whole time the rally was running, not even the start or finish.

is it the media deciding what I have to listen to?
or are out there so many who wanna hear the news they broadcast.
is rally sport only for a small elite?
