I'd consider trying to grab it (if I could figure it out) but today I:
-removed the WR's seat cover and foam
-installed the new Seat Concepts foam
-Found out that the staple gun I've used on KTM and Suzuki seats doesn't have enough ass to install a staple in a WR seat
-found out that my buddy with an air stapler is AWOL
-neutered my bike (hard to ride with no seat). Sheeyut.

At least it was 52 and cloudy here all day, so I didn't feel too bad not being able to heat up the seat cover in the sun so I couldn't staple it anyway. Or something like that
I'll have you know that I've been well-behaved nearly all day. Really.

No worries. My buddy and fellow ADV'er Ron lent me his brand new, never used, air stapler this am. My upholstery expert wife and I had the cover installed by 9:45
Ceramic cube heater on the workbench kept the cover nice and pliable, air stapler (with the exact same staples I tried yesterday) works sweet.
Guess I'll try an extended "test sit" after the fog burns off.
As the bluegrass song that was playing while I finished cleaning up tools said: "I've got it made in the shade if the tree don't fall".

Excellent - if your stock seat was anything like the "tall soft" plank on the Berg you are going to love the SC.

Not the nicest day out there but it's warm. Go rescue the mouse from that bed o' nails.

Tag: On "section of a chain" Evans Rd., first stream crossing, west edge of the first village west of the C'ville airport.



Critter is at the base of the tree, left side of red gate, stick/leaves on top. Finger of my glove is pointing to it.

Oh, I forgot to say that the seat is a lot better. Any wrinkles shown in the pix are because I have the SAE cord stuffed under the nose, cover came out nice and taut.
It's better when standing also, gives me just a tiny bit more seat to grab with my knees.

Seat looks great Ted. I have to check these out. Too bad I didn't get that one from the forum.

Every time I get on the Z I think of those old 70's seats and how cushy they were... back when I didn't need it...

And I like the new tag spot! Now I will cross my fingers for a window of opportunity to make a grab sitting so close by. I guess the key is to make that window, not wait for it, right?

I know. It was a beautiful day! I tried to get my work done and to no avail. I need to do be better at creating the opportunity and not waiting for it .
