Well maybe if you live long enough you'll get over letting total strangers dictate what your lifestyle should be. At least you know it's stupid to do so and that's really a step in the right direction. Get over your ego issues, tell anyone who thinks scooters aren't for many men to get screwed and get on with having fun.

I agree. I presently ride a Gold Wing, but plan on a Maxi Scooter within a year or to. I do have some buddies who think scooters are for "girly men", but I would have fun with their battering, and just tell them they "couldn't handle a scooter". I developed my love of motorcycling on scooters, and have no issues with making the switch.

I am narrowing the next scooter down. I want something with more traditional styling, but in a larger size so I can commute on the highway.

Vespa 250
Piaggio BV250
Scarabeo 200 or 250

my latest scooter. got it 2 months ago, 2013 piaggio bv350 in black. traded in my 2011 vespa 300 super with 4000 miles.
theres no comparison. had a kymco people gti 300 before vespa. didnt like kymco - my gas mileage was always low, 55-60. and top speed would not go over 70mph. my vespa got 75-80 mpg and would go 80. the bv350 is best scooter i have ever had. took off seat bump,4 screws under seat, and i use a airhawk very comfy. i have a cut -down windshield and a
large top box. i get average 70 mpg and top speed ( gps - 90 ). my weight is 230 and city is at 4300 ft. after owning 20
scooters in last ten years this is the one for me. i'm 78 years young and love to scoot. see you on the road, ike

Iker , you are a lucky man to have reached 78 and on top of that to still be out there scootin around . May you have many more miles .
