RIP Saxon Smith
I'm not sure how many people on this forum ever met Sax but I wanted to inform everyone that he passed away doing what he loved most while riding his motorcycle on Christmas Eve.
Sax was a good man and a good friend who lived and breathed anything and everything to do with motorcycles. Rest in Peace my Brother, you will be missed! Saxon Smith 1968 - 2012 http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/i..._river_default http://www.facebook.com/pages/Saxon-...03105489723407

Yeah, I knew and rode with him on the street and track. We had some real good single-track times, he was fun to ride with. Only 44 y.o. Really sucks, don't know what else to say.

I saw this thread, placed the cursor over it, and was just about to click, when my wife, reading the paper in the next room, called out, "Do you know someone named Saxon Smith?
I don't think I ever met him, but the odd coincidence makes this seem all the closer. Godspeed, Saxon.

Carried on the wings of angles are the souls of many who have passed to soon. May the memories that Sax left behind gently cushion the permanence of his passing and his legacy live on in the hearts of his friends.
...all will be in our prayers

EVERYONE is encouraged to attend this memorial!
Let's give Sax and the Smith Family our support... The service will be Jan. 19th at 1:00 pm at the Hillsdale Community Church, 6948 S. W. Capitol Highway Portland, Oregon. You should see this in the obituaries soon but be sure to get the word out so that we can honor the family.
