I got a balaclava and I figured out how to program routes onto my GPS and I have a bucket full of zip ties to mount it! Throw up the new tag so I have something to do tomorrow.

I've got all that except the balaclava and the GPS. I do have zip ties and the weekend off though. If the local shop has balaclavas, I will have one tomorrow though. Going to be a COLD start.

Ive got a neck gator, a baclava, a nice knit hat(warm weather gear from bear suit lol) and a Garmin Zumo is going to be here in a couple days for the Buell I just dont like to ride when its cold, but I will be much better equipped to with the heated grips and all. If I decide to buy heated gear, I already have a place to plug it in to.

Got some winter gear (not heated) being held for me to pick up tomorrow morning at 8:30. It's about 10 miles between here and there. Hope I can tough it out that far...

Work is over rated. I'd rather be riding! :grin I think I may put my snowmobile suit on in the morning though.

I would rather be riding to. Only problem is time isn't on my side and sometimes when it is I don't feel like doing anything much less riding :( I am hoping this year I at least get to put more miles on the Uly than I did the V-Strom last year. That will make it a good year

Not the tag I was going for but the one I could find. Details when I get home. 411 goes over the black river not far from here and apparently there used to be a giant rusted out steamboat shell. It's a nice spot. The neighbors have a couple giant boxers but they don't bite.

During the Revolutionary War, Richard Herring and John Devane operated an arms manufactory in the upper part of New Hanover County near the Black River in what is now Sampson County. The exact site of the factory is not known, but some claim it was located within two miles of the bridge across the Black River at Clear Run.

Records from April 24, 1776, indicate that Herring and Devane, as well as James White, were empowered by the colonial government to establish a gun factory near Wilmington. They were given up to 1,000 pounds with which to construct their factory, procure tools and materials, and pay their mechanics. The public was to not have to pay more than five pounds for a gun or musket. Documentary records include the following description of the firearms to be produced: “Each firelock to be made of ¾ of an inch bore, and a good substance at the breach, the barrel to be 3 feet 8 inches in length, a good lock, the bayonet to be 18 inches in the blade, with a steel ramrod, the upper end of the upper loop to be trumpet mouthed.”

Before the Tories destroyed it, the gun factory produced one hundred muskets with bayonets, three rifles, and six smooth-bore guns. Other gun factories were located in the districts of New Bern, Edenton, Halifax, Hillsborough, and Salisbury.

That's kind of down in your neck of the woods, I think. Closer to you than to me, at least. I think there's at least one more parked down close to there. If you can get out tomorrow, you should run for them.
