The navigation was further complicated because lots of fans had been riding on the stage before we got there so it was confusing to see all the different tracks on the ground. I could not trust the tracks in front of me and think that they were correct, instead I had to keep working and checking my own notes.

On the second part of special I kept to a comfortable rhythm simply because that was the way I had decided I was going to ride today’s stage. There was no reason to change my plan once we were out on the stage.

It’s always special when the day of the last stage arrives because of all the work I do to prepare for this moment. It’s a mix of excitement but also concentration because this would be the worse time to make some kind of mistake. I’m planning on finding a fast rhythm for tomorrow and just hope it goes well. There is no way I’m celebrating yet because I have too much respect for this race to think that any result is decided until my bike is safely over the finish line.

Alittle food for thought going into the end of the race...
Richard De Groot (#132) is listed as piloting a "CRF 450X Yamaha"

Wonder how it would count if he withdraws...

Well, his name was mud after last year, no way KTM's or Red Bull's PR people were gonna sit for that. Especially Red Bull, where they sell image.

So it's taken Luis about 23 minutes from 10 to 11 which is not long. Does this mean he had a problem between 9 and 10 which he has overcome? Sounds like it to me.

If you recall at the beginning of this Rally CDP was rather grumpy. Then we complained about that on the F5irehose, and voila! nice ever since. F5 spies I tell ya!
