Hey Nick,
I'm not exactly in Austin....really live outside of Waco about 90mi north. There are tons o fun little roads all round the Austin area. Here's a link to a Google map several of us have worked on..listing all those roads. You might also want to have a folding map to use on the bike since the Google map is mainly for use while on your computer. (takes a bit to load due to qty of listings) https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...mid=1307322470 There is also a northern hill country map (DFW Area DS Roads) https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...55dff257f&z=10 Butler Maps has a great Texas Hill Country map for ya to use & it shows most all of those roads. I'm a dealer & can send ya one if ya want...or you can order direct from Butler. Here's their website... http://www.butlermaps.com/

There's a ride going outta Junction, Texas the 26th. Should be fun. Look for it on twowheeledtexans under dual sport. I'll link it.
http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80392 Or you could always head northwest and hookup with us. We could drag you around and help you fuck-up your bike. For sure. Uhh....gotta clean license? ghost has been making some noise about a camp-out. Hmmmmm.

Here you go...you can also do a Google search for Texas+hill country+motorcycle and you will find more maps and info but definitely go visit the 3 sisters. Couple of sites below that give some descriptions and directions.
Be careful....really. http://www.hillcountrycruising.com/the3s.html http://www.motorcycleroads.com/75/55...5-336337a.html

Well, this will be fairly tame as far as rides go, compared to the others. http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80761 It is our monthly Pie Run. Folks from all over the state head to one restaurant to meet up, have lunch and pie. I suspect there will be a group heading up from Austin, but it hasn't formed up yet. Depending on the weather, it can end up being direct if it is cold or wandering if the weather is nice.

HICO Pie Run fun
....& I've got the little paved goatpaths to wander around on while heading either to or from Hico if you decide to use that option. We might even be able to gather up a few other folks to put a small group together while meandering.

DO NOT SKIP LIME CREEK ROAD!!!
It's an awesome twisty road and could probably be ridden all day. If you make the time, ride out to Leaky, TX and ride the twisted sisters, HWY 335, HWY 336, & HWY 337. Another good twisty road. |

Ghostranch Camp-out is making. Go there. Craziness will ensue. Semi-lawful-ish craziness. But craziness nonetheless. Dirt route to pie?

Be careful on Lime Creek Road, Google it up and judge for yourself based on your skill level and risk tolerance
