Getting things in order now. Just mounted the new wheels and checked tire pressure. Breaking for dinner and then I'll get the gear and GPS ready.

Somebody give me a link to your spot for tomorrows ride. If the Directv install guy gets done ahead of schedule, I can catch up.

However, I am worried about dirt and crap getting between the tube and the bars, given the guard bar doesn't cover the hole 100%...if that makes any sense.
just cut the ends off the grip and the throttle tube if needed. it's a non-issue.

if it gets a little gritty remove bark buster slide the whole throttle assembly off and clean. i end up doing that about once a year but i like my controls to feel perfect.

Thanks again for the advice, crofrog and Dorito! I ended up still using the neoprene washer, but have a nice 1/16" gap between that and the throttle tube for peace of mind.

I'll remove it at the first hint of binding, then just clean the throttle tube periodically like you mentioned. Good to go.

Radiator guards should be here Tuesday, then just need a skid plate (will be a few weeks...starting over is draining my coffers BIG TIME ).

Sunday

Beautiful day for a ride to Middleburg. Got there about 1145 , found the bikes but never found the riders. Did look in 3 or 4 places. Wandered around about 30 minutes. Never occurred to me till I got home that I could have used my cell phone to call someone. Rode home via Snickersville Turnpike, Lime Kiln Road, Whites Ferry and about 4 miles of gravel on River Road near the ferry.
Sorry I missed the group. Maybe next time.

Great day for a ride. I was surprised there was so much traffic on some of those back roads. I finished with 212 miles for the day. I peeled off a little early as my gas light came on and I had to take a whiz bad. Didn't want to slow down the group. Fortunately I had 10 gallons of premium in the sidecar as ballast. Thanks to all who participated and led.

Great day for a ride....glad everyone could make it.

Apparently I even got a couple extra brownie points with the Mrs. She was only expecting 2 bottles of wine.

Nice place to stop....Old House Winery

The spoils...
