Yeah, still got the street treads on it though, did get in some mud today but pretty sliddy with these tires.

Got a late start today but it was so nice out and I was glad to get in some ridding. Little did I know that I would run into Charlie and crew
![]() For all you beer connoisseurs out there you might want to stop by the local micro brewery just a little south east of Springdale. Here is where the "Saddleboc" beer is brewed and customers can get their 1gal jugs refilled too. Free tasting of course though I didn't partake being on the bike. Looks like several were however judging from all the pickups there. ![]() Sun was out and it was nice to hit the dirt again today even though it would be a short day. I wasn't' able to meet up with Charlie and crew because I couldn't get away until 1pm or so. ![]() ![]() Came around a curve in the road and came up on nine guys raising a heck of a dust cloud. Sure enough it was the dizzer and eight others. I jumped in with them as they headed back and was fun while it lasted. Good seeing you guys again, maybe next time I can get started on time. Later.

Mike, it was great meeting you out on the road, what a nice treat since we were just tooling along off route.
Our fearless leader Sir Charles took 9 of the asylum (Albie, Redburn, Arkwizard, O'Leary, JaiDee, jtwest, Arkmozark) on a great mid-January ride over to Turner's Bend for lunch. Temps were in the 40s to nearly 60 at the ride's end. As appropriate, I brought up the rear, and only once did the final three of us lose the lead group. It was sure nice to see water in some of the creeks, and the Mulberry looked nearly normal. I put a couple of the shots below, or you can just click HERE for the chosen 22. We met at the EZmart near the Fayetteville airport. ![]() Which way do we go, which way do we go? ![]() Really nice to see the hills with the leaves off of the trees. I guess this is "winter view". ![]() We could tell some areas got decent rain....green grass! ![]() Water in a low water bridge ![]()

Then there were nine.
Yesterdays ride was fun. We headed to Turner Bend for a Sandwich and saw some great winter scenery along the way. We met at the EZ Mart as Tim said. We started out with 8 of us including me and ended up with 9 as we met 10Cup along the way. Our route ![]() It was an easy ride but it was great to get out in the nice weather. The staff at Turner Bend said people were out kayaking, I think I would have passed as it would have been too cold for these bones. My GoPro is starting to get dialed in but I still am having problems with camera angle. I may try changing positions on my helmet to see if I can get more scenery and less DRZ. Some photos along the way. ![]() ![]() ![]()

A few of us invaded your county over the long weekend.
This past weekend was the 4th Annual Eagle Ride. The original plan was to ride from KC to the Mississippi River north of St. Louis viewing the Bald Eagles. At the last minute because of weather we changed plans and headed south. I was on my 1200GSA, Troy and Randy each on an 800 GS', and Ryan and Scottie on V-Strom's. We rode through all types of conditions including snow, ice, mud, clay, gravel, dirt and rocks. The conditions ranged from the 30's when we left KC on Friday to a high of 60s while in Arkansas and then down to 22 on the way back to KC today (Monday). Here are a few pictures of the trip: On the way to Rusty Jugs in Eldorado Springs (the 990 rode from KC to Eldorado for lunch and then headed back). North of Roaring River State Park: We stayed the first night in Eureka Springs. A few years ago at the Hillbilly Ride I was a fool that followed Doc up Possum Creek after a heavy rain. This time the fools followed me with fully loaded bikes :Along the King River: Approaching "that" mountain for the first time since I was with Doc. I made without much of a problem. It was A LOT dryer this time but I believe the ruts were deeper. Some of the others needed a hand now and then. The group after making it out of Possum Creek Road: At White Rock: That night we stated in Fort Smith. First stop on Sunday was Natural Dam: From there we headed north up Pannell Road. Pannel Road is not big bike friendly but we made it. Troy had little trouble on his 800: After Pannell Road we continued north and make a few stops: After lunch Scottie turned west to Tulsa. At I44 Randy and Ryan shot over to 71 and went home to KC. Troy and I went to my cabin in Blue Mound. When we left this morning it was 33 degrees and sunny: When I got home is was over cast and colder: I had a blast. I think everyone did.

Great report Eddie. Remind me not to follow you on my new GS!! I'm not a GS Giant like you....yet
Sounds like you had a good time and pictures were great too. Wow you took on some tough roads. I have been down Pannell several times with my WR250 but no way on the GS. Your cabin is very nice! Holler next time your down this way. Thanks.
