Went to the N.Y. Motorcycle show today. Nice venue as always, but nothing to compare to Dr.Rock's party. And the models at the show have nothing on Mrs Rock! Anyway lots of nice bikes. I bought some new shades for riding. they had some that were "transitions" but none that fit tight enough to keep the air out.
not too many ADVenture venders, but more than last year. the predictable ones for sure. Triumph was there, and I can't believe they actually rode that bike through some dirt and mud before the show. They didn't have the decency to clean it before the show.

Brilliant! The Honda rep was impossible. I asked when Honda was going to get in the game? Import an updated Africa Twin or Trans alp. He said " Nobody REALLY wants that stuff! I'ts only a fad, AND most of that stuff never sees dirt. Like people who buy Jeeps and never take them farther than the Wally World parking lot". I Don't know if thats honda's official stance, but several people walked away in disgust. There were crowds around the F800gs, and Triumph 800XC ( I should not have sat on that one!). Suzuki was not well represented. Yamaha had an S-10 there. I was looking for a new windsheild, but none to be had. Some nice riding attire to be had, and plenty of Harley patches. Anyway a nice way to spend a day when you can't be home.
