Why only one?

I recently bought a Giant Loop Great Basin. Noticed that there is only 1 "heat shield" and worm clamp that comes with it.

Why would a bag that was designed to be used on big bikes (that usually have a dual exhaust) come with only 1 "heat shield"?

I am running Wings on my 950S so have cut down on the heat plus have the stock Gobi racks in place.

Do you think I can get away from using the "heat shield" or should I fab another one up out of some thin stainless?

Harold and the guys at GL are straight up guys. If you have a question about heat shields etc. and their products, may I suggest talking with them offline. They have been very helpful to me and have been great at communicating.

It's universal not just for bikes with dual exhaust and says right on the webpage that it comes with 1 heat shield. If guys with singles paid for 2 heat shields they'd bitch about that. You can always order another.
