Ya even all the .22 is gone. I am pretty well stocked up on anything that really matters but what the hell. The times they are a changin'


I did get up to the mountains this weekend for a day. Checked on my camp and my boy got to be a real boy for the day.

He got a trail camera and arrows for christmas, He had a good time shooting his 3d target for the first time.



We set up the trail cam too. I'll post the sasquatch and mountain lion pictures later.


Just being there for a day is good for the soul. Getting through the winters with little mount'n time is tough.

Hope to meet more of you in the spring.

Same boat. I have what I need for game, but shot up all my 22's on Friday. !

It is great to see a boy in the woods. There is a great education there for him. I take my girls to the mountain as often as they will allow me. I just can't get 'em hooked on bikes yet. Good with 4 wheelers, but afraid of the two wheelers.

I just reloaded some 9mm, so off to the LaPlata MD range........on the bike

You save much loading for 9mm? I guess with current prices the answer would be yes.

I just started loading. Got all my stuff for Christmas. So far only loading for .45 though.

The boy loves it there. He is already dead set on being a biologist who studies wolves.

I have a nice little range set up for him with knock down steel plate targets but we couldn't do much shooting this time because we literally couldn't find .22 ammo. Shot up some of what we had a camp.

Guess once things settle down I will have to stock pile some .22 ammo also. It's nuts.

I have a daughter also, she is not a fan. She enjoys shooting the .22s but over all would prefer to stay here at the Beach.

I contacted an on-line supplier today. I want one of the remington "bullet bucket"s when they become available again. That's 1400 rounds. You can also buy a case of 4 buckets if you are so inclined, but I am not.

Talked about reloading, but never did it. Got a buddy who loads my .270 for me.

Consider stopping in here on one of your trips through. I'd like to shake your hand.

I would have to calculate how much powder I used for 50 rounds and 50 primers. I would think not much more than 3 or 4 bucks.

EDIT: todays prices about $35 for 1000 primers and say $20 for a lb of powder. I forgot bullet price Damn $123 for 1000...

So 50 rounds costs $1.75 for the primers, $0.71 for powder and $6.15 for bullets.............$8.60

Right now I'm loading out of necessity..........there is NO ammo for sale anywhere around SMIBville. I did get lucky and picked up 100 rounds in November when I was in Maryville TN before the panic buy.
