BTW, that is indeed a picture of John Penton holding his trophy from the JackPine, sitting atop his NSU that he rode in the grueling 500 mile enduro. Can you young whippersnappers imagine riding that bike on a 500mi Michigan enduro??

It was a grueling ride but back then there were alot of gravel roads and two track. Stil, I couldn't even ride that bike on the pavement for 500 miles. J Penton was The Man.

Yup, that was his boys.

Find these pics all over in secret stashes. Just found one the other day in an old box of stuff from my mother. It's from my early days of tinkering with bikes:

Managed to get a ride in on the Valkyrie yesterday. Moved it the twelve miles from the house over to the shop. Took me almost an hour to get there. Somehow going down that daily route to the shop, I made a wrong turn and got lost. Yeah, that's it I made a wrong turn and got lost. THat's my story. Took me an hour to find my way.

Looks like its a good thing I didn't put that off for another day.

Either the batteries were low in your gps or it may have been this;

Or too much of this;
Ask me how I know....

I have a feeling Charlie wasn't lost but just took the long way and used lost as an excuse for being awol from the shop....My favorite brain fart wrong turn? I came out of the mountains into Denver on I-70 thinking 70 took me to Nebraska. I kept waiting to go by the new airport and after a couple of hours it felt like I was going southeast, which I was. I turned around, got on 71 and took it north to I-76. Just a three hour detour. This was before I started using a GPS. Getting lost on a motorcycle can turn into a grand adventure.... You can't say that after getting lost in a car.

Posted this on Facebook but for those not there, I sold my other DR650 but that dormant garage space didn't last too long.

Girlfriend picked this bike out to fool around with and even offered to purchase it herself so heck why not, I'll be wanting to ride it too! We picked it up yesterday and hauled it home. Not super clean but does run well.

Big wheel bike in a Subaru Brat?!

I call B$. You just grabbed a random photo from 1984

Just kidding, nice bike. I'm jealous. Maybe I wouldn't fall over so much with bigger wheels.

The Brat and bike both look like they just passed through a time warp.
