I know you knew, just needed to stir it up a bit. You really are bored...... Huh. I'd love to go sooner too. I'm just sitting here at home twiddling my thumbs.

Warm up.....go skiing!
Hey you guys!....if you want to warm up, go skiing! I was up at Bogus Basin today where it was sunny and bright, and the temperature was 29-30 degrees while it was 7-10 degrees and overcast (inversion) here in Boise. I'm looking forward to DV the end of February. Should be a great ride. . |

Took the family up for a day of skiing at Bogus. 45 degrees and sunny up there. After suffering through this frozen hell for the last month, it felt like heaven.

I guess its all relative. I was working out in windchills of -40 deg. F in North Dakota on saturday, just hoping for 0 degrees.
Was down in Death Valley a few weeks ago, and it was quite nice. Definitely bring your gas card, it was even higher in Panamint Valley. Diesel in Panamint was 5.98/gallon. ![]() But there are some great views ![]() All downhill from here. . . ![]() Make sure to bring your Japanese/German phrase book.

WOW John, Last time I was out in weather that was-40 for any sustained amount of time was pulling border duty on the DMZ in Korea.......... I just got a goose bump chill down my spine just thinking of that. We did 15 minute outside rotations inside the warm tent with the heater cranking it was a balmy 32 degrees. You keep keep that up in Dakota now. Bet your not getting miles on that new tigger either right now.
On another note I am so ready to head out..... umm..... I mean south DV is looking REAL good right now. They sure are proud of their fuel in California. I mean diesel here is 3.68 that's almost 50% more. Thanks for the heads-up. I top in Nevada before dropping in to DV. Quote:
