The Kymco G450X engine only holds about 1 litre of oil in stock form. Will this make any provisions for a larger capacity or will 10 hour oil changes still be needed?

From the 2011 FSM for the Husqvarna street version of said engine. Valve checks and oil & filter change after the first 1000km and then every 5000km afterwards.

Without specs or reviews it's hard to say just how good this'll be, but it sure looks like what I want.

I will be in the market for a light weight, efi 350cc-500cc cross country advanture/touring machine in the near future. Lusting over the Honda CB500x, KTM 390 Duke touring?, and now CCM 450 Adventure

P.S. Make sure it has a big stator for my heated gear!!! Yes I am a Canadain wimp...

That's not how I read it. The chart seems to indicate that at every 1000Km you replace the valves, timing chain, head gasket, piston, crankshaft, crankcase bearings, but the oil doesn't need changing until 5000Km. Bizarre.

Anything with an S in the second last column needs changing at the 1000km interval if I'm reading it right.

Hopefully that should be 10,000 at the top of the column, not 1000.

It makes one wonder why an adventure bike would have a motor with such short service intervals. Are the targeting the Starbucks adventure rider?

An Adventure bike for people with short attention spans. So the luggage looks redundant to me. All you'd need is an overnight bag.

Oops, I think that may have been out of the original poorly translated "Engrish" version, I have a newer one which makes more sense. Have to see if I have it electronically.
