Good idea not using the vented sidecover, even though it will give you a nice gain with the pipe and carb, the added trouble of dirty airfilters isn't worth the trouble on a long trip. I run both, about 2 days is all I can expect from the filter using the vented sidecover, it's pretty dusty around here.

Any idea of where you are weight wise? My XRR is fully dualsported and it seems we always end up on tough trails, the weight gets to be a bit much for me (5'10", 165lbs) in those situations.

I'm interested to see how the LED lights work for you, I'm considering an LED system.

About customs clearance and registration : it's not a problem but not quite cheap. the whole system is one big cheat) But we have some true ways..
as an example, the cost of my XR was as follows :
Shipping to Finland Kotka 500$
Pick up from Finland Customs to Russia Saint-Petersburg customs , if you go on your own it'll cost about 300$, with the third person it's 500$
Customs Fee for Bike is 43% of Nada.com average price, it was 1170$ so the fee was about 500$
Customs Broker paper work is about 500$
Registrations is not expensive about 50-70$ + 1 year Insurance for me is 100$

The Total was about 2000$, but sometimes we spend a lot of money on small things like fuel etc.
Lately it's been our bread - we are buying bikes from auctions , ebay or craigslist repairing it and selling here..

Thank you) wires are not mine, but i had some work in past) it was net, security and power cabling systems at big construction objects .. it was hard dusty time) But now i can recognize it by colors..

Bro, Thank you for understanding) yeah you are right all my skills are from my own experience plus your views and comments on different things) for many people in russia it's the only way to knowledge and life here)

I also thought about how much dust there is in the intake.
and at the moment i'm thinking about fuel economy)

As i understand you, you mean that dualsported bike is too heavy ..I have same weight with 6' height, but i haven't had any experience with it on trails...my attitude to build is to make it like a rock and functional ..i'll think about excess weight. Thanks for thought !
Now i have one question about rear shock : i used stock spring and tightened it on 230mm . What length do you use!?

The weld leaked, which changed my opinion about the Oil tank ..and after my brother made comments on it too, I understood that i don't need it and i need a big tool storage. for my small mechanic world)

all was made by cut machine, Drill and file..

This Sign is one of main signs of Vedic and Arian-Slavic traditions which goes from very old times through many cultures like Indian and Russian..
We have many different aspects of this sign (Swastika, Fylfot) if it is rotating clockwise it means birth, and something new..if counterclockwise means purge, death, it's reverse aspect like all around us in the present of dualism..

I think of many people from germany for whom this sign means terrible time, WW2 , or Hitler, but He knew about it too much, he was looking for shambala , he went to india many times and he knew which sign he can apply against the russian culture because it is our history, which was forgotten through time!...and many governmental groups helped to bring it to life!

Thank you for advice! I think the same way! But my rush before led me to some cheap stuff which i could buy asap..now there's no rush but the stuff is installed.. the next maintenance will take place with oem or good quality parts.

Ofcourse I know the history pre 1933.
Good to hear that you mean it the good way. (that swastika)
But if it were my bike (which it is sadly not) I wouldn´t put it on the bike.
I think it closes to many doors. Makes people suspicous.

Mikl, I know we discussed the 10.5 kg rear spring but looking back at the build, you might want the 11.0kg, that's the BIG tank. If it's not too late I'd weigh the bike fueled, add your weight with gear and make your springrate decision based on the results.
