Vancouver Wash bike shop needed for Pre-plate inspection
Finishing up getting my XR400 ready to be street legal. Any recommendations of reputable bike shops to take it to for the Pre-plating inspection?

The Husaberg.....
Just finished getting the FS650c legal a couple of weeks ago. Rode it 150 miles on the street last Saturday......I guess the rear wheel wasn't ready for the torque.....it broke 11 spokes off at the hub. Crap. Looks like I'll be sending the wheel to Woody's for some Superlacing. Dang budget's always getting in the way of my fun!

![]() Call Darryl at Cyclops Motorsports in Kent and he'll walk you throught the process. He's also able to do the inspection you have to have done for them to issue the plate.

If you are going to ride it on the street much you might want to think about a cush hub.

I have been plugging away the last couple of weeks on my dual sport conversion. It's starting to come along.
I've been kinda stumped by the fender half way to the axle requirement. Call me picky or whatever but, some of the fender extensions look kinda crappy I think. But then it's a dirt bike so who cares? Anyway I hacked up the old front fender and made a hugger. I'm thinking about painting it mat black so it doesn't stand out so bad. Do you guy's think my fender will pass inspection? ![]() ![]()

I fought to delete it and was only able to get it revised. Originally it was all the way down to the axle, that would have been easier to understand, but very undesirable. Ref: RCW 46.61.705(2)(k) (k) Fenders adequate for minimizing the spray or splash of water, rocks, or mud from the roadway. Fenders must be as wide as the tires behind which they are mounted and extend downward at least half way to the center of the axle. http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.61.705

So the law states that the fender has to extend behind the wheel so I don't see how a hugger type fender would make it pass the inspection.
Also that 2 stroke KTM a page or so back passed inspection without any rear fender mods besides the addition of a plate holder. *confused in WA*
