Sacramento area kids dirt bike gear needed
Greetings
Anyone in/near Sacramento have any used, outgrown kids dirt bike gear? Need the whole enchilada for two skinny boys (8 & 11). At first they will be sharing a crf80, their first moto. Just getting the feet wet. I thought I'd check here 1st before I head down to Cycle Gear etc and pay full retail or hit craigslist. Looking for a set in the next couple days. Cheers!

Scott,
I have a set of knee and elbow guards as well as goggles. My 11-yo outgrew them, so they're probably too small for your older one, but should be fine for the younger. I'll have to look to see if I have anything else (maybe boots).

Wow thanks
I picked up a new set for the young one and still need a set for the 11 yr old, sounds like you guys might set me up! We took the CRF80 out for the first time yesterday at PC. They both were able to ride and shift a bit........and they enjoyed it. Will pm both of you. Cheers!

We were out there yesterday, too. Did you park in the kid track area or over by Mud Mart? It was a gorgeous day and all of the kids were having a blast. My 13-yo not only ran the DR350 a lot, but got to take a spin on a KTM 200EXC (loved it), as well as my XR650R (good thing he didn't stall it...). Ahhh, good times.

We parked past mud mart at the end of the parking area. There is an open area, that had no other riders, if it was a bit rocky.
They both are really, really green (like what is a clutch? where is the rear brake dad?)... first time for everything, but did pretty good. Wow a 13 yo on a BRP.. I had one of those, heavy beast. Miss it sometimes. I tried not to burn them out and left after a short time, but... they want to go next weekend. The newbie kids track says "no bikes over 70cc". Think they will care if we run a CRF80 on it? Cheers

Nah, they won't care. We've run 80's and 90's on the small track without issue. We got there at 11 and stayed till closing. They were all wore out! The did a lot of riding, though. We may need the rain and snow, but it was sure nice to be out in the sun and watching them ride.
