WTF, it's not purple anymore?!?
And I really can't say what's compelling me to say this but the wheels look like they could use a set of dice valve stem caps. Looks good for a non-purple scrambler thing.

I like it too, but, I was a bit attached to the purple tank!

Some kind of bump...
Hi there jsullivan!
Your build seems to be just about what I'm looking to build, so I'm ager to know how it's coming along? Regards (and first post for me, I think), Mikael, Gothenburg, Sweden |

I know it doesn't look like much, but I'm making progress.
I massaged the exhaust a bit more and finished welding it, welded in a more discreet fuel filler, built and mounted a battery box, and checked off many many little tasks on my todo list. I'm finally almost to the point of putting together a wiring harness and brakes and doing a shakedown run! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I smell sizzling leg hair.
![]() That looks really cool though. I kind of like the rough finish on it. Just give a the whole thing a shot of clear coat and freeze it just how it is.

That thing is all kinds of awesome! Great tire/wheel combination.
I agree with Airhead Wrangler- the rough beater look really does it for me. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Looking good, but I gotta tell ya, adjusting the valves is gonna suck with no kickstart and those pipes so close to the timing cover.

I'm a fan of symmetry when it comes to airhead exhausts, but your 2-1 has changed my rhetoric. Well played...

Haha! *Heat shield coming soon...*
I know... This is the point in other folks' projects that I usually want them to leave things as-is. I'm going to shake it down for a bit to see what works and what doesn't before paint & powder, so it'll stay raw for a while. |
