And here I was just figuring out lighting etc to make a clip for you... Although I have the Z1 extreme and the snorkel trim so mine is about as loud as they get. I punched 4 half inch holes in mine.

Quite happy with my Wolfman Enduro. Fits nicely, don't have to remove to fill up, small but not unusable.

Unrelated: all the webpage buttons on this site ("reply" "quote" "login" etc.) have disappear a couple days ago (when using Firefox). Using IE to reply. Harrumph.

Same here, but in Chrome. If you click to the bottom of a post, on the right side, you'll get "reply with quote" so you can just delete the quote :P

What size jetting did you go with?

I haven't actually opened up the carb but it's working wonderfully. It is a used bike, so it's possible the PO had done something. I was having issues with it stalling and being difficult to start that seem to be alleviated now. I'm gonna dig into the carb in a couple days and I'll post what I find.

Right. The buttons are "there," but invisible. So it'll work if you know where said invisible buttons are hiding! Weird!

Apparently the overseas XT225s had rear discs for most of their run.

I guess just get on eBay and look for a rear wheel with rotor, swingarm, master cylinder and calipers.

Other people have converted a KLX wheel to work but it was a HUGE endeavor.

Looks like it's an issue with certain ad blockers. Disabled mine and it works fine again!

My XT is built out of 3 different XT225s, and a lot of aftermarket parts. One of the pipes had the "Z1" mod done by the PO. I could not tell any HP increase over stock, but liked the sound. It ran lean, so I went up one size on both the main and pilot jets, and turned the pilot screw out 2 1/2 turns. Now runs perfect and plugs look good. I have a Keintech pilot screw.

As far as a tank bag, I have the Tusk tank panniers from rockymountainatv.com, and they work great. Under $20, and VERY well made. I can easily get four 1 qt. Gatorade bottles in them, which can be used to carry liquid, or you can cut the tops off them and use them to carry tools that might otherwise poke through the bag. They have an extra pocket on the outside that works perfect for a bicycle water bottle. The yoke has a hole in it that fits over the gas filler, you just remove the cap, put the panniers on, and put the cap back, so they cannot come off.

K&N filters are garbage. They will stop gravel, bugs, and maybe really coarse sand, but certainly not dust. I use stock filters kept soaked in oil. Nothing has ever got through them. I have had my oil checked a couple of times, and even on a 30,000 mile engine, it came back good. My airbox is completely stock, with the snorkel still in place. HP is not my main concern, it has plenty stock, though I did spend a fortune on suspension.

Hey, Jerry H:

Do those tank panniers flap around?

They do if they are empty, but they have Velcro tape to hold them to the tank. They don't move at all if they have much weight in them. I usually carry around 5 pounds on each side, and they don't budge. I never put the Velcro on my Clarke tank.
