That's what Carol calls it when I need a ride.

To paraphrase Poor Richard, "Fish and house guests smell after three days."

I've been putting in a lot of hours at work and Al Tuna had suggested he needed a ride. So a small plan was hatched. The Table Rock area of South Carolina.

It snowed Thursday night, so I had to wait 'til around 1100 for the snow to melt off.

Of course I had to pickle my bike for the first 30 miles or so.

The trip down was uneventful other than some slow traffic in Charlotte, but that cleared up soon enough.

Here's our little hideaway

for a couple days. Very tidy and clean and quiet.

We hung around a little Saturday morning waiting for it to warm up and then had a very good country breakfast at a little store/gas station down the road, at the intersection of 11 and 178. We had decided to try a loop ride of the area just to see what was around, as neither of us had been there before.

We headed up 28 and pulled over here to let some traffic clear up.

I always feel like somebody's watching me.
