Yep, back rows are going to have a tough time at the Sandlapper if it's wet.

Its the time more than anything. I can ride for two hours and then drive home. Its a long ways for me all the way back to VT.

It's going to be a long Sandlapper for us. We got all our entries in together early on the first day and where did we end up...row 108. Should be a great time!

I've never done a National so I don't know what I'm missing

$30..that's a lot of beer money for the drive home to Ohio...

Also, I have a 1 HS per day limit before my panties give out.

Hey Crankshaft, You said the Sandlapper ain't nothing but a Hare Scramble divided into sections, so what's the difference in setting your 500 up for 1 HS or a bunch in the same day?

I got Row 83 and a few of my buds are on 85

Sandlapper holds up alright from what I know of the course,.....not like a wet Cherokee.

I'm probably going to get a hard time over this one, but I am planning on riding this HS instead of the Sandlapper. I didn't see any responses about the sandlapper until after registration was open...
Mid East HS are good fun with a lot of fast competition. Expect the start to be on a mx track then sandy trails for the remainder of the loop. Even with the enduro the same day just down the road there is usually a good turn out.

Yep. I rode it last year and it poured the rain the day before and all night before the race. Woke up to crisp blue skies, and had a ball. The area drains real well, I don't remember any boggy areas at all, except for one near the start of the first section that was easy to avoid. It'll be fine, no worse than any other woods race. Plus, the race format is a lot of fun, I like it better than a regular hare scramble, never repeat the same trail twice, except for maybe going from the end of one section to the start of another.

My F8 is almost all ready to go. I spent the entire day yesterday taking 1/2 the bike apart just to get access to the header bolts and installed another factory header but with the catalytic convertor all gutted out for that extra 0.00001 HP . And today I am installing the Shoria battery that I've had sitting on my shelf a year because still don't know if I should trust it or not...but it weighs 8 lbs less than the factory battery.

Bar risers coming soon. Maybe adjust the suspension...
