Hey CJ, would you care to share what fuel pump you have there? I need something now for my bike.. since i got 950 tanks :)

Please send me an email with what you need and I can try to sort it out for you. Nothing for sale yet, I don't have kits ready, this is all just testing.

Just got my 990 ADV 2007 home and got one question for you guys. When I turn the key to ON position, I hear a very ugly noise and I'm pretty sure that the fuel pump is making it. Seller left the gas tank completely dry, so I thought this may be the problem. So I put in gasoline to top and let the bike run for 10min, but the ugly buzzing from pump is still the same. I changed my CBR600RR 06 for this 990 and I'm used to clean bzzzz instead of bzshchszshzzshc, or is that normal?

plus, I am happy to see that someone is working on a solution.

I am enjoying this thread quite a bit. It keeps me motivated that I can, one day, find an alternative for my internal fuel pump. Plus I don't have the time to do it.... so keep going Craig. It looks promising and if I can help with testing or feedback, I'd be happy to.

Let's keep testing!!! (and keep up the updates and pictures so that we don't all wonder if any progress is being made

)

Just because a thread moves to the Vendor section doesn't mean it dies. It's just putting things where they belong. Obviously CJ, as one of the premier manufacturers on here (and one of my best dealers), is putting a product together. Sooo... I say let's get it where it belongs and hopefully he'll have something good for us sooner than later...

I see your point, but i'll disagree. CJ may not succeed, others may have better options, little bits and piece of the puzzle may trickle down to make a workable solution for everyone. There is no product that exists as of today that can fulfill this gap. The OP created this thread for a reason and I think it would be wise to keep this thread as active as possible.

Personally, I would like to see CJ post up more of his attempts at tackling the issue right here in OC. And we might be able to help along. I won't be looking for a "solution in the making" in the vendors section.

I would agree, accept CJ is the OP, and a respected Vendor on here. Nothing lost in the Vendor section...

I haven't kept up with this thread. Historically we allow R&D to occur here in the OC and once we're at a point where sales are occurring the thread moves on to vendors where it belongs.

Are we there yet?

Any news or links to what's being used ? Haven't seen the cannondale assembly available anywhere.

Making a custom tank and don't have room for the oem internal pump and would like to avoid a surge tank.
