I'd love to ride with everyone this weekend. However.......grandfatherhood calls. I work Saturdays from 11:30-4:30 then right after that I head to the valley to spend a couple days babysitting my 7 month old grandson while his parents have their first night away since his birth. Every time I'm with him I hold his hands and say... "Clutch Hand" "Throttle Hand". I think he should have it down by his first birthday.
Hope some of you get together and ride. Should be a good weekend. Post pics!!! Tim |

Hmmm... lots of white fesh fesh around.
Snuck out on Sunday with a couple of yahoos on big bikes.
Started out nice enough. ![]() Got pretty icy closer to Pine Mountain. ![]() VT-Oregontransplant wondering what he got himself into. You can almost see how bent his bars are from here ![]() ![]() Kinda went downhill fast. I was impressed that PNWcrazymike didn't have to practice his deadlift more often. ![]() Fortunately everybody had tires appropriate for the conditions ![]() Fun ride all in all but I was surprised how much snow was still out there after a week of 50 degree weather. I was also impressed that the two self-proclaimed dirt "noobs" were able to keep the muddy side down given the conditions. I guess it helps that one has owned about 10 different street bikes and the other is 6'4" tall.... Funny "small town" story for you Mike. Sunday afternoon we went out and had coffee with some good friends and took a walk around Mirror Pond to wear out the kids. I was telling my buddy about our ride and he was giving me a hard time because he's been laid up with back problems. He then started telling me about a friend of *his* who'd also gone on a ride that morning and gotten into some crazy snowy rocky stuff on his KLR. It all sounded too familiar so I asked who his buddy was. He said Mike over at Newport Market :) |

Bend Bars
Yea yea... I ordered up a set of Evo bars and Powermadd 2 inch risers.
Should be a nifty upgrade to the DR... A better trick would be to learn not to fall over. |

I don't mind snow so much, but freakin glaze ice UNDER the snow sucks...! I've got my RR up from our New Year's Eve Mattawa "Snowpacalypse" trip on my old TWT hangout, I'll try to get it up on ADV this week. Now that was a lot of snow...
AJ how are you feeling man? |

If my garage wasn't so damn cold, my bike would be as healed as I am. But, since we've had snow on the road for a month, now, it's not really on the top of my priority list
