Godspeed Kevin.

Word is the US launch has been moved to a high school soccer field in Omaha. The on-road routes are being coned off at a nearby Walmart.

I guess if get to go to the national rally next year the demo fleet ride will be a bit more sedate.

Sounds ok except for:

"The engine is a little less tractor-like in slow off road situations......it is a little less friendly when lugging through a tricky section of dirt"

That lugging ability of my existing GS comes in handy in the tight going.

Worked the clutch and gear lever, everything very smooth. The gear lever didn't seem to have any play in it and the first and second went in like butter. I also like that knob that adjusts the windshield and the handlebar controls.
Lots of room on this bike if you're 6'7.
What if I am 6'5 and over 300#? :)

Pricing

"Pricing has yet to be announced. It’s likely the base GS will be close in price to the current bike—$16,150 with ABS but without ESA or ASC. As with the current bike, adding all the options will probably take you above $20K.
