How do you tell someone's "too young" through a full face helmet? I'm more curious about the "appeared to have difficulty maintaining control."

Finally got my first ride of the year in today. Just some neighborhood stuff getting comfy with a loose bike under me. FUN!

Hey I gotta question for you nut hatches riding in the winter , ice ,snow etc,but mainly bare pavement with studs . I'd appreciate an answere . I am wonrdering how secure YOU feel on the road under these conditions, a no BS answere.I know colds no issue , snow mach are trucking all winter, same gear, just better traction. Give me an HONEST answere I don't want to get in trouble.

what kind of trouble. HA?

those days that i rode the cold didn't effect much, i just stop and get warm up. small local roads are a bit slick still. but ont he highway.. its pretty chill and i wouldn't worried so much. easy on the gas,brake,and corners, my Riding friends thinks im NUTS, im just like " ya should go see the other ADV riders who are NUTTERSSS!! oh and i wouldnt be confident as much without these TKC tires i have..feels like riding the Dalton


i just finish throwing the footage from the past ride into a small vid, ill post it up once its done loading.. you'll see from my perspective and judge for yourself. :))

Not studs, just regular 60 off road/40 street knobby tires.
Search continental tkc80.

I would think they be a pretty popular tire for adv riders..

First of all let me preface this by saying as long as I'm not driving between Wasilla and Anchorage where all the road warriors are driving I don't feel secure at all. There are to many cell phone being used and two many drivers that don't have any respect for thier fellow travelers. And thats in the middle of summer. I commuted between Anchorage and Wasilla for quite a few years and IMO its just gotten worse.

I do realize if you watch your time ( time you leave one or the other) you can have a traffic free ride.

Some folks will think because I'm running a sidecar it would be a snap to drive in in the winter conditions because I won't fall over, But I can still slide off the rode which could really be ugly.

I don't run studs because I personally do not think they work that well, two many ditch divers will tell you I just lost control Officer and I was going the speed limit.

Never admitting they were going to fast for conditions or thier phone rang.

I'm running all season radials on the drive wheel and sidecar and a regular road tire on the front wheel of the bike

I rode up Hatcher Pass Fishook road out of Wasilla and was able to maintain 35-45 on the curves found a lot of black ice just drive the way you should and be careful

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it

AND DONT you hateit when.... alright so im riding and doing the speed limit..65mph on the far right lane on the Genn, and dude ,cars be getting pissed !! ,they be flying by me and such... in my head , im just like .. don't make me press the NOS button
!!!

damn Cagers.. be gettn mad when my sport-bike is doing the speed limit, then gets more mad when i'm flying by them!
