brake rebuild
im rebuilding the brakes on my old honda cd250, the inside of the master cylinder is really dirty, the level window you cant see through.
what should i clean it with, im bout to replace all the seals in it, so i guess the dont matter about harsh chemicals?. |

Methyl Hydrate. That's in a lot of shop manuals on "cleaning brake parts before rebuilts".

Methyl Hydrate AKA Methanol.AKA Hydroxymethane. Methyl alcohol. Methyl hydroxide. Methylic alcohol. Methylol. Wood alcohol. Any good hardware store will have that around trhe painting chemicals/thinners etc....section. Wear gloves.
