Trip looks awesome so far! Safe journeys. I like reading these RR's as I am locked in winter wonderland with less than 8hrs of daylight.

01102013 - Orange Walk, Belize
It's been a few days without internet, now I am sitting in the central park at Orange Walk, Belize with free internet. There is a lot of catching up to do with the ride report. For now, here is a link to my SPOT tracks.

01222013 - Rio Dulce, Guatemala
haven't updated in awhile. Currently in Rio Dulce, Guatemala for a couple of days. Thy tell me there is a thermal spring waterfall that empties in to a cool pool. I'll be looking for that tomorrow.
I spent 8 days in Belize and then a couple of days at Tikal Maya Ruins in Guatemala. http://share.findmespot.com/shared/f...ssBh4V3PB1yEir |

01232013 - El Parisio waterfall
I rode to the waterfall yesterday and it was great. The waterfall is from a thermal spring into a cool pool of water. Going underneath and behind the waterfall is like a sauna. The water is hot like a shower , not too hot. it was really great after having had many tepid to cool showers on the trip. But I had to be on the lookout for the machete wielding banditos on the trail.

Greetings from Portage WI..... you lucky dog you! It has been butt-ass cold here the last few days, Brandy Old Fashions and fish fry are the only solace here this time of year... I did start my bike the other day though

01252013 - Guatemala - Honduras border crossing
Had no issues crossing in to Honduras this afternoon, the entire process took < 30 minutes and cost $3.00. One official for importing my moto wanted to see 800 in local currency. I showed him I had it and that was that. Not certain what the objective was, maybe wanted to know I had gas money. Required copies of Passport, Registration, Drivers License. I was prepared and also gave them a copy of the Title.
Leaving Guatemala, had the Temp Vehicle permit stamped at customs and passport stamped 2 miles up the road. Originally I missed the customs stop, there is a checkpoint and tope but no signage. So at the immigration stop, they stamped my passport and had me go back to customs. There are also money changes at both Guatemala and Honduras checkpoints. No banks or ATM's at the border. the Guatemal town prior to the border (10 minutes) has a bank. I didn't notice any banks/atm's in Honduras as yet but there should be an ATM in Omoa. pictures later. Sure is green in Honduras.

Not able to upload pictures on the wifi where I am staying. There is a beach here that needs to be combed, so I will be in Omoa another night.
