Soz, I walks into the warehouse yesterday afternoon - and what do I see, to my surprise? A batch of the new Sena SMH10R low profile, super slim, way cool Bluetooth headsets.

Now, I figured these were a ways-off from availability, but nope - we've got 'em. We'll do a review pretty quickly, but initial impression is these are **SLICK**.

Limited supply. Check 'em out...

Wouldn't work well for a modular helmet I take it without the boom mic I take it?

Is it not possible to use this headseat with in-ear isolation speakers? I don't see an output jack, even as an accesssory, on the Sena website.

How do the controls work?
I see "PLUS" & "MINUS" and is there one button on the top back of the unit?

Will they play nicely with the SMH10 and SMH5 units?

No real driving tests to be found on the internet.
Any body here got any experience with them?
Really interested in getting a pair of them for me and the missus. A couple of my buddies have the SMH10 and they're happy with them. And Sena says they have the same specs as the basic 10.
Added that in Europe no shop is even talking about them yet...and you have them stocked

These are brand new - most dealers don't even have them yet, and won't for a time. We pre-ordered five months ago, and it was a surprise to see these arrive at our warehouse, to be honest.

We'd do a riding test if there wasn't so much snow, salt and ice around here.

No earbud option just yet, and I don't know if one is in the works. But, seeing as how the speakers plug in, we may be able to work up a simple adapter for earbuds.

The boom is best for a flip helmet. The boom resides entirely inside the helmet, and mounts behind the cheek pad, or between the styrofoam liner and the exterior hard shell. Same mic setup as the other Sena clamp kits and we do Autocom mics this way, and it works A-OK.

Ive been eyeing the sena smh10's for a while now, so looking forward to the smh10r video, might even be the deciding factor in which I would get. And with your limited supply I might even order it soon.

Could be either. It depends on the construction of the helmet. A good number of helmets have some space between the hard styrofoam liner and the outer shell - especially along the lower edge of the helmet. The battery can slip into that space.
