Thumb New MC shop opening in SJ

CycleWorld in Cherry Hill, NJ will be re-opening in a few months selling BMW, Triumph and Ducati. New ownership. One of my friends just interviewed for a position there.

Is that the former Desimone Motorsports?

I stopped by them a few times, but had an uneasy feeling that they were into the "lifestyle" aspect (read: expensive gear and accessories). High-tailed outta there.

I wish the new place lots of good luck!

No, the DeSimone group has nothing to do with this venture.

Interesting

They've picked up about the only brands that DHY (Deptford Honda Yamaha) doesnt carry.

IMO they will struggle long term. Other than HD dealers the ones that are succesful today are those that have other products than motorcycles to keep them going over the winter. Most Honda dealers have many of the other Honda products like generators, lawnmowers, ATV's, etc.

Starting a motorcycle shop is a risky business, but it always nice to see one opening up. It might do pretty well with its proximity to Philly. If I was in the market for a new bike though, Ducati is at the top of my list. Seeing the new Ducs at the Motorcycle Show got me to thinking.
