How does the Samsung S2 stack up against other phones when recording tracks under heavy canopy?

Under Samsung S2 I assume you mean Samsung Glaxy S2, right?
If so then its phone like any other and its does record tracks in your shirt or jacket pocket and also in weatherproof box. Last week it even managed to get signal occasionally in supermarket. So it is safe to assume that it will work also under heavy canopy.
