Just remember everyone going to the gas station in Kentucky is not a safe thing as birds will line up to deuce on you as you come out of the store.

I rode escort for Mark last week scouting roads...one road took us down a one lane gravel road into the middle of a field, for those of you wanting to avoid paved roads.

Yep...the map said it went through...

Started off nice.

The farm owners (coming up on the 4-wheeler from the barn on the left) were very nice and said this happens all the time.

How do ya know if ya don't check...

So how about asking him if once a year we might just cut across there? I'd pay a buck.

The Cave

I have been on 2 or 3 cave tours at Mammoth it is something you have to do if you never have been.

There are some other caves on private land in Ky that are really neat also,we visited Great Salt Peter cave years ago before it was closed to public, that thing was huge. There is also another cave that I took Roaddad,Tpar, and Opaulo to on an Stree/Turkey foot dual sport ride a few years ago.

I saw this one while poking around down there. Looks neat and got great reviews.

I am in. Last year I rode up with the group from Harrodsburg and we had a great time. As far as woodsrat's question...I have ridden paved roads for 40 years and bought the Tenere for new adventures. That said, I am no off road veteran but would enjoy the challenge of 70% paved 30% off road mix. I really enjoyed the gravel through the woods last year. Something peaceful about not worrying that a lead sled is going to hit you head on. Just my opinion.

Went on another scouting mission today. Drove cause I'm a weenie...

This road was only 3 miles long but turned into a pretty rutted mess. Thought for a minute I was going to have to back-out my wagon.

Sweet...

Mostly roads like this I was looking for.

Gotta' watch out for the Popo.

Ate lunch in Mumfordsville. Pretty good Q.

Stonehenge...

Funny looking dog on the side of the road...

More later...

OK guys, 2 beds up for grabs in the "bunkhouse" for anyone not wanting to haul their gear. Pretty much breaks down to the same price as camping when you divide it 6 ways.
