On the fence now dependin on campin.
Can ya park & sleep in a van (bike on the back of course) or do you need to use a tent in the group site? Do you need a plated bike for any good rides from the campsite, novice rider, nothing real fast forest roads stuff like that?

There are about 14 parking spots right near the campground where you can park a van/truck/whatever and be close to the action. However, those spots go fast and are usually gone by noon Friday. There is an adjacent campground that will accommodate whatever you bring: it's about a 3 min walk away.
A plated bike is necessary since public roads are used to and from the trails. |

I want to go this year, as long as it doesn't conflict with the Mayday Melee at the Rio Nido Roadhouse again.

Rhonda and I are taking the mighty V Strom for a ride today. Thinking of riding to Upperlake, out to Pilsbury for lunch and back through Potter Valley. Will bring a camera, maybe hed up the hill to the snow line. I'll post some pics.
Not sure if we are in yet, gotta figure out what to do with the dogs. |

I am in and looking forward to another great time. Plan on coming early and staying late, unlike last year.... I haven't read all the threads but has anyone investigated what the fire did as far as riding access? Look forward to seeing everyone again. Trucking in from Redding, meals, etc.
Right on!!

Thanks for the update and the URL for alerts.... I guess that means the Stonyford "loop" is out this year.

Hope you make it Hop-Sing. Are you bringing the Dakar? You'll have a great time, lots of good people and excellent riding. There was a big bike group last year that worked out nicely..... I was a scramble start (fun!) then we split up after the first stop so the single trackers could get excited...
