Google maps street view missing

Has anyone else noticed that some roads that used to have street views are now entirely missing?

For a few days last week I was getting only parts of a route I'm planning as "street view" and had to look via satellite thinking they just hadn't been up that road. Now I find I can go places along that same route with street view all the way.
