Over the weekend of July 5 this year some of us plan on trekking out to Cape Breton for a memorial for Dave and to mark the one year anniversary of the accident. His family will be there and many of his friends have expressed a desire to do something like this when we were all together last summer.

It is a busy time in the area so places to stay are booking up quickly. Pixellman and I are planning on camping at Meat Cove, which was our original destination last January 5th, and think it would be a good idea to book as much of the group as is interested in there together. With that in mind, please chime in here as soon as possible if you plan on joining us.

edited to add:

The idea is to be out there together on 7/5. The means of getting there and back as well as duration will like vary for each of us. Those details can be worked out in groups and discussed in this thread.

from GTA to Meat Cove is a 2104 km .
over 1000 per day ..I will take week off No rush to me .

We just want to know ASAP how many of us would like to participate in this memory ride .The camp spot at MEat Cove is not a BIG and is a popular place in the time of year ..So sooner we will know sooner we can call to the owner of the camp spot and make reservation ..

hey Scott and Adam,

was talking to Motoaxe tonight and am in for the trip. I'm 5 hours from Toronto here in Ottawa and would like to offer my place / yard for any travellers who want to pitch a tent and carry on from there. I'm thinking of leaving my place Wed morning to head East from there. So arive Tues night, we'll BBQ something and head out Wed AM.
