Never a fan of those boutique beers of which I consider RR to be one. And most of them have sold out to the big boys or foreigners (Anheuser-Busch...shame on you).

The hole is a little further away from the stock location. Does not look like the hooks will line up right to latch the clasp down.
Stock, the screw head is actually holding in the retainer wire. Also needs to line up to go around the bulb.

I was converting to an HID on my brand new headlight assembly, off the bike and the plastic retainer crumbled - dealer offered a warranty replacement, but I already put my 3M kit on the lenses, so if did the same fix and carry a spare for the other side or the occasional GS rider who can't get his bulb back in - only ran into one rider so far who need the fix on the road. Nice engineering BMW...... good to carry a spare fix....still love the bike, warts and all.

Linky now worky here, but not in original post!

I cut some flat stock with a hacksaw and beat it with a hammer ,WAY TOO MUCH WORK! but the easiest fix is to get a crimp terminal with a hole for a post, like the old ignition coils had. They are available at any auto supply or radio shack. Remove the insulation and shape accordingly.

PS, its a lot easier to work on if you remove the h/l assy, 2 bolts and the electrical connector
